A Visionary Approach to Technology, Economics, and Emerging Digital Systems

My professional journey has always been guided by a deep interdisciplinary curiosity and a strong interest in systems economic, technological, and social, and the often-invisible structures that shape how value flows across them. I began my career in finance and economics, where I developed a solid foundation in markets, regulation, and public policy.

However, it soon became clear that many traditional financial systems were constrained by outdated frameworks and were no longer sufficient to meet the demands of a digital and hyperconnected world. This realization led me toward the emerging fields of blockchain, crypto assets, and decentralized technologies. In these spaces, I saw not only technological innovation but also the potential to reshape the fundamental logic of global economies.

This industry allows me to merge economic strategy with technological understanding and creative exploration. It is where finance meets future-thinking, and where transformative technologies such as decentralized ledger technologies (DLTs), artificial intelligence, and the metaverse are laying out the foundations for entirely new economic models.

A Vision-Driven and Methodical Working Style

My working style can best be described as vision-driven, methodical, and future-oriented. I approach challenges such as interconnected systems, breaking complex problems into structured insights, and identifying opportunities for transformative innovation.

Colleagues often describe my communication style as insightful and empowering. I strive to present ideas with clarity, context, and inspiration particularly when translating complex or emerging technological concepts for broader audiences. For me, communication is not merely about sharing knowledge; it is about shifting perspectives and unlocking new ways of thinking.

Leading Innovation at Maqueveq & Co.

As the Founder and CEO of Maqueveq & Co., I lead a team dedicated to shaping the digital economy through strategic advisory in blockchain, crypto ecosystems, and metaverse infrastructure. Our work bridges technology, policy, and creative innovation, helping both public institutions and private organizations navigate the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Over the years, we have contributed to shaping crypto-regulatory frameworks across Latin America while continuing to explore the boundaries of emerging digital systems. Among the initiatives we have introduced are tokenized co-creation models that promote collaborative ownership and engagement, as well as youth-focused educational programs for students aged 16 to 18 aimed at cultivating the next generation of digital-native leaders.

We have also launched DTCODE Studio, now known as H21, a hybrid innovation laboratory dedicated to creating immersive environments powered by real-time data, artificial intelligence, creative coding, and extended reality technologies.

Services and Market Differentiation

Maqueveq & Co. offers a range of services designed to support organizations navigating the evolving digital economy. These include strategic foresight and advisory on blockchain regulation and policy, the design and development of digital asset infrastructure and decentralized platforms, and innovation consulting for crypto-economy projects, NFT ecosystems, and immersive digital environments.

Additionally, our creative systems studio H21 is pioneering a new visual and interactive operating system for the 21st century. The studio focuses on building integrated interfaces that combine artificial intelligence, extended reality, blockchain, and Internet of Things technologies to create environments that enhance system awareness and visual sovereignty.

Our work also includes immersive hybrid data visualization platforms that support real-time decision-making and storytelling through data. We design custom governance visualization tools for decentralized organizations and tokenized communities while developing generative design and media systems that integrate NFTs, creative coding, and knowledge frameworks.

What truly differentiates us in the market is our interdisciplinary perspective. Operating at the intersection of technology, economics, design, and systems thinking allows us to go beyond building tools, we reimagine how value, culture, and innovation are created and shared in the digital era.

Overcoming Resistance to Visionary Thinking

One of the greatest challenges in my career has been overcoming resistance to visionary thinking, particularly within regulated industries and traditional institutions. Introducing concepts such as blockchain and decentralized systems often requires stakeholders to rethink established paradigms.

To address this challenge, I combined strategic storytelling with innovative educational approaches and practical demonstrations. By creating real-world use cases and immersive learning environments using tools such as creative coding, simulations, and visual languages, I helped leaders experience and understand complex ideas in tangible ways.

The most important lesson from this journey is that adoption begins with understanding, and understanding begins with imagination. To introduce a new paradigm, one must first transform the narrative.

Technology as the Architecture of the Future

Technology, in my view, is the architecture of the future. It is not merely a tool, but a creative medium that amplifies intelligence and accelerates societal transformation.

At Maqueveq & Co. and H21, we leverage blockchain to enhance transparency, trust, and decentralized asset creation. Artificial intelligence and creative computing allow us to design generative digital experiences and immersive content environments. Through the integration of IoT and real-time data, we build responsive systems that adapt dynamically to human interaction and environmental context.

Our objective is to create technological solutions that are inclusive, educational, and accessible particularly for emerging creators and innovators who may otherwise lack access to these transformative tools.

Key Industry Trends for the Next Five Years

Looking ahead, several major trends are expected to redefine the digital economy over the next five years. The convergence of artificial intelligence and blockchain will enable autonomous systems, intelligent agents, and predictive economic infrastructures. Tokenized ecosystems will redefine ownership models, royalties, and economic participation, enabling broader financial inclusion.

Meanwhile, the metaverse is evolving beyond virtual environments into a protocol layer that integrates digital and physical experiences. Another emerging frontier lies in space-based data and sustainability systems, where orbital infrastructure could play a role in monitoring planetary resources and supporting the development of a global space economy.

To prepare for these shifts, our organization is investing heavily in research and development, strengthening cross-sector collaborations, and designing modular frameworks capable of adapting alongside technological advancements.

Advancing Global Sustainability Goals

Sustainability remains a fundamental pillar of our technological and social mission. We actively promote the use of decentralized ledger technologies for carbon tracking and decentralized clean energy credit systems. Our projects also support circular economy models through advanced traceability and data visualization systems.

Furthermore, we are exploring sustainable frameworks for space-based economic infrastructures designed to enhance environmental monitoring and responsible resource distribution. At the same time, we continue to expand inclusive educational initiatives that prepare a digitally literate and globally conscious generation.

For us, sustainability means building regenerative systems economically, environmentally, and culturally.

Recognition and Global Impact

Over the years, my work has been recognized internationally through several honors, including being named among the 100 Women of the Future in Metaverse and Web3 by Innovations of the World.

Additional recognitions include the Crypto Economy Award in Spain, the NFT Award from Wise.art in Switzerland, and the Mayte Spínola Gold Medal from Grupo Pro Arte y Cultura in Spain. These accolades highlight not only technological innovation but also the importance of inclusion and representation within the global tech ecosystem.

Addressing Industry Challenges

Despite rapid growth, the blockchain and digital asset industries still face several challenges. Fragmented regulatory frameworks across jurisdictions create uncertainty, while limited digital literacy among policymakers can slow the adoption of emerging technologies. Cultural resistance within traditional institutions also continues to pose barriers to decentralization.

Addressing these challenges requires coordinated global regulatory standards for digital assets, decentralized organizations, and taxation. Public education initiatives must also play a critical role in building understanding and trust.

Creating regulatory sandboxes and experimentation zones can encourage responsible innovation while allowing governments and organizations to test new systems safely. Equally important is designing human-centered platforms that are multilingual, accessible, and culturally inclusive.

Reflections and Lessons Learned

Looking back, one aspect of my career I would approach differently is sharing my work publicly earlier through writing, public speaking, and teaching. For many years, my focus was on internal strategy and quiet development.

Over time, I realized that narrative itself is a powerful tool. Visibility is not about personal recognition but about impact, representation, and expanding opportunities for others particularly women and underrepresented voices in technology.

Looking Ahead

In the coming years, our team plans to launch new decentralized platforms designed to support creative and economic collaboration on a global scale. We are also working to expand H21 into an international hub for immersive systems that combine artificial intelligence, data visualization, and artistic expression.

Our advisory and policy work will continue to grow across Latin America and Europe, while our educational initiatives will focus on empowering the next generation of digital-native innovators. We are also exploring opportunities in space-based sustainability and governance systems that can support both planetary stewardship and the future of human expansion beyond Earth.

A Guiding Philosophy

A principle that continues to guide my work is:

“Build what the world needs, not just what it understands.”

True innovation rarely begins with consensus; it often begins with vision. With integrity, imagination, and responsible leadership, we can shape futures that are not only possible, but profoundly necessary.
